| Notes | ID: BRADLEY2000A; In discussing the changing nature of work and the development of the knowledge worker the paper discusses the idea that in supporting the knowledge worker, then we need to provide intelligent workplaces with the appropriate Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Also, consideration should be given to how people work individually and as a group when at the workplace. The nature of work is changing, meaning that people may be only brought together for a short period of time and then be disbanded, therefore the workplace has to be able to be adaptable, and responsive, to these changing requirements. Overall this is well developed paper with interesting ideas about the future of work and its ramifications for the workplace. Its limitations are that there is no research to support the themes developed. |
