| Notes | ID: BELL1992; Describes an office refurbishment project at ATT Communication's Kansas City, Missouri center. Sale closing rates apparently improved from 1 in 10 calls to 7 in 10 and sales from $3.5m per month to $7.1m. Bell attributes the result to the effort put into involving users in the design process. One might question whether it was culture, environment or both that delivered the result but this remains a relatively isolated example of evaluating a building initative in business specific terms. Note that it comes from an industry with a short feedback between customer and facility. |
